Job summary

The Salvation Army Midland Division Shelter in Jefferson City, Missouri, is hiring a Social Services Manager to coordinate and operate the social service program for shelter and Emergency Assistance and Pathway of Hope services.

Qualifications

• This position requires a bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or related field and at least one year of human service experience.
• Demonstrated ability to enter and retrieve data in a computer system and proficient use of Microsoft Office.
• Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work with diverse clients.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, screen, and train social service staff; provide direct supervision and staff development.
• Lead weekly Case Conference and ensure program alignment with Salvation Army policies.
• Oversee Emergency Service Assistance and coordinate with community agencies.
• Maintain documentation and reporting per contract, policy, and HMIS requirements.
• Assist with budgeting, program development, and department operations.
• Develop client goal plans and maintain caseload notes; refer to community resources.
• Ensure confidentiality and Safe From Harm guidelines are followed.
