Job summary

The Salvation Army Midland Division Alton Shelter in Alton, IL is seeking a Shelter Case Manager. This full-time role involves providing case management to shelter clients, performing under active grant requirements, and may include reporting to funders.

The position does not supervise staff and pays $40,000–$45,000 annually. Primary responsibilities include intake, pathway-based case work, housing referrals, SIMS data entry, and collaboration with community partners to improve client outcomes.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology or related field with at least one year in human service delivery, administration, or management.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial intake assessment to determine eligibility and client needs.
• Provide case management services using Pathway of Hope and grant requirements.
• Develop discharge plans and connect clients with housing resources.
• Enter client data into SIMS and maintain case notes.
• Coordinate with staff and network with community agencies to maximize services.
