Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Social Services or related field.
• Five years progressively responsible experience administering social service programs with at least two years in a supervisory capacity.
• Valid State Driver’s License.
• Social Work Certification or License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs, coordinates, supervises, and monitors the administration of all social service programs within the department including emergency shelters, crisis intervention, and community services.
• Administers the FEMA program and rent/utility assistance programs; ensures program operations comply with policies and contracts.
• Writes grants proposals and ensures program operations are in compliance with contract agreements.
• Develops and administers a volunteer staffing program networked through existing community affiliates.
• Provides a single point of communication between end users and the UNITY team around HRIS issues.
• Reviews and monitors monthly statistics representing department services; prepares departmental reports for internal use and grant requirements.
