Job summary

CAMBA Inc. in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a licensed social worker (LMSW) for the Kensington Family Shelter to provide comprehensive case management and counseling services.

You will conduct biopsychosocial assessments, develop ILPs, advocate for clients, collaborate with case managers, and ensure proper documentation in CARES. The role emphasizes professional relationships, confidentiality, and aftercare planning.

Qualifications

• LMSW licensure within one year of hire.
• Two years of relevant experience, preferably in family shelters.

Responsibilities

• Maintain professional relationships with clients and ensure confidentiality.
• Conduct initial risk assessments and biopsychosocial evaluations.
• Prepare and update Independent Living Plans (ILP) with client goals.
• Advocate for clients and coordinate services with CAMBA and external providers.
• Lead group counseling and psychoeducation to support client development.
• Document progress and outcomes in CARES within 48 hours of contact.
• Participate in case conferences and aftercare planning.
