Job summary

Allina Health Brooklyn Center is seeking a Social Security Specialist to support clients through SSA Disability applications and appeals. You will act as an authorized representative for DHS claims and coordinate between clients, attorneys, and the SSA to ensure timely case progression.

The role requires experience in social services, SSI/SSDI knowledge, and proficiency with case management tools. This position is 1.0 FTE with a day shift, no weekends, and located at 6160 Summit Dr N, Brooklyn

Qualifications

• 2+ years Social services, legal services, or case management, including proficiency with Microsoft Office functions.
• 1 year Social Security Disability experience, including familiarity with SSI/SSDI program requirements, regulations, and deadlines.
• Bachelor's degree preferred in social work, communications, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Provides comprehensive support to clients navigating the Social Security Disability application and appeals process.
• Serves as an authorized representative with the SSA for DHS claims and liaises between clients, attorneys, and SSA to ensure timely case progression.
• Conducts eligibility assessments, completes and submits required documentation, and manages a high-volume caseload with professionalism and empathy.
