Stern & Cohen, P.C. is seeking a Social Security Disability Application Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in assisting clients throughout the Social Security Disability (SSD) application and appeals process.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit initial Social Security Disability applications through the Social Security Administration's (SSA) online portal.
• Ensure all required agreements, authorizations, and supporting documentation are properly completed and submitted.
• Follow up with the SSA to monitor the status of pending applications.
• Communicate regularly with clients regarding the status of their disability claims and assist with questions about SSA forms and correspondence.
• Contact clients to obtain updates regarding their medical conditions and treatment.
• Submit updated medical information and records to the SSA as needed.
• Prepare and file appeals for denied disability claims.

Qualifications

• Previous experience preparing and submitting Social Security Disability applications is strongly preferred.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is highly preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
