Job summary

United Way for Southeast Michigan is seeking a Social Navigator II to support individuals and families with wrap-around services. This full-time role emphasizes a whatever-it-takes approach, including field and phone assistance, referrals, enrollment, and follow-up while collaborating with local partners.

Qualifications include college-level coursework in social services or related fields, 3+ years in high-volume support roles, and preference for Community Health Worker training and AIRS CRS

Qualifications

• College degree preferred; high school diploma required.
• Three years of experience in a high-volume call center and/or high-volume case management/care coordination.
• Experience working with clients who must manage low incomes.
• Training as a Community Health Worker preferred; willingness to participate required.
• AIRS CRS certification strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate access to wrap-around services for eligible individuals and families.
• Provide logistical supports and referrals.
• Enroll clients in programs and conduct follow-up.
• Collaborate with community and inter-agency partners.
• Deliver services over the phone, in-person, or collocated with partner organizations.
