Job summary

Blackpoint Cyber is seeking a Social Media & Community Lead to expand our voice across LinkedIn, X, Reddit, and YouTube. You will own the social strategy and day-to-day content calendar while engaging MSPs, IT and security pros, and partners.

You'll manage employee advocacy, collaborate with People on content, and partner with marketing and events teams to align social strategy with industry events and campaigns.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years managing social media as your primary role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write short, clever, on-brand copy under deadline.
• Experience building social media programs using best practices and modern tools.
• Strong organizational skills — owning a content calendar, asset library, and multiple concurrent campaigns.
• Working knowledge of social SEO fundamentals and copywriting best practices.
• Experience with social listening and social advocacy platforms.
• Comfort using AI tools for ideation, drafting, and day-to-day content workflows.
• Ability to lead cross-functionally, helping other teams understand the value of social.
• Genuine curiosity about trending cybersecurity and MSP topics.
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time to industry events and conferences.

Responsibilities

• Own and grow Blackpoint Cyber's social channels (LinkedIn, X, Reddit, and YouTube as applicable), posting a minimum of 5x per week.
• Craft, schedule, and publish original content including short-form video and creative images with consistent tone and voice.
• Plan a content calendar in collaboration with teams across campaigns, events, and products.
• Conduct regular social listening and engage on LinkedIn commentary and tags.
• Build and moderate Reddit community in coordination with partner marketing.
• Coordinate internal stakeholder requests for social content with the creative team.
• Track, analyze, and report social performance monthly, quarterly, and yearly.
• Manage social crisis communications and response strategy as needed.
• Stay current on platform trends and apply AI tools for ideation and drafting.
• Advise internal teams and partners on social presence and profile-building best practices.
