Job summary

Nexcess is seeking a Social Media Manager to shape how we present on LinkedIn and in Reddit communities that discuss cloud solutions. You’ll sit on the Content team, collaborating with Creative, Product Marketing and Demand Gen to own our social presence end-to-end, including content strategy, community management, and campaign alignment.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years in B2B social media with LinkedIn as a primary channel.
• Experience running a Reddit program and building presence in communities that don’t want to be marketed to.
• A portfolio of original B2B social work you wrote and published yourself.
• Clear sense of what works in short-form video and graphics, with briefing skills to get it made.
• Track record growing a company page audience with engagement from the right buyers.
• Experience getting subject matter experts to publish and making it easy for them to continue.
• Experience briefing an agency partner and upholding quality standards.
• Comfort translating technical subjects to customer-facing content.
• Understanding LinkedIn distribution and ability to separate platform mechanics from folklore.

Responsibilities

• Own the Nexcess and Servers.com LinkedIn company pages, from calendar to copy to community response for launches, events and campaigns.
• Concept and direct social-native content, including short-form video, with the Creative team.
• Invent and test new formats, turning successful ones into repeatable programs.
• Enable internal experts to publish, drafting in their voice and growing the roster.
• Manage the Reddit agency day-to-day, review drafts before publication.
• Partner with Demand Gen to boost posts and engagement.
• Turn listening and performance data into publishing decisions.
• Maintain brand voice across pages and all ghostwritten posts.
