Blackpoint Cyber is a cybersecurity threat hunting and remediation leader seeking a Social Media & Community Lead. Drive strategy for LinkedIn, X, Reddit, and YouTube, and craft engaging, on-brand content for cybersecurity professionals and MSP partners.

You’ll oversee employee advocacy, partner storytelling, and event-focused social programs. You’ll partner with marketing leaders to mine MSP stories, manage social listening, and expand the company’s online voice.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years managing social media as your primary role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with concise on-brand copy under deadlines.
• Experience building social media programs using best practices and modern tools.
• Strong organizational skills with calendar, asset library, and multiple campaigns.
• Knowledge of social SEO and copywriting best practices.
• Experience with social advocacy platforms and analytics tools.

Responsibilities

• Own and grow Blackpoint Cyber's social channels (LinkedIn, X, Reddit, YouTube), posting at least 5x weekly.
• Create and publish original content, including short-form video and visuals, maintaining tone across channels.
• Collaborate with copy, events, demand, product, and campaigns teams on a content calendar.
• Conduct social listening, monitor brand/product activity, and engage on LinkedIn.
• Grow and moderate the Reddit community in coordination with partner marketing.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and creative for content needs.
• Track, analyze, and report social performance monthly, quarterly, yearly.
• Manage crisis communications and response strategy as needed.
• Stay current on trends and use AI tools for ideation, drafting, and workflows.
• Advise teams on social presence and profile-building best practices.

The Social Media & Community Lead will grow Blackpoint Cyber's voice across social platforms and build community among the MSPs, IT and security professionals, and partners who make up our audience. You'll own the social strategy and day-to-day content calendar for channels like LinkedIn, X, Reddit, and YouTube - writing copy and creating videos and creative posts that make cybersecurity approachable.

You'll be the front line for how our community experiences the Blackpoint brand online, from comments and DMs to real-time engagement at industry events. You'll also own Blackpoint's social advocacy tool and employee advocacy onboarding, using gamification to keep employees engaged and posting, partnering closely with the People team on employee-facing content.

You'll develop a deep partnership with the head of partner/customer marketing and sales to mine MSP partner stories for social, and collaborate with Blackpoint's head of events and field marketing to build social strategies around each event.

What You'll Do

• Own and grow Blackpoint Cyber's social channels (LinkedIn, X, Reddit, and YouTube as applicable), posting a minimum of 5x per week

• Craft, schedule, and publish original content - including short-form video and creative images — keeping tone and voice consistent across every channel

• Partner with the Senior Copywriter, events, demand, product, and campaigns teams to plan a content calendar, including real-time or reactive content around emerging news and events

• Conduct regular social listening to track brand, product, and competitor activity, and engage daily on LinkedIn commentary and tags

• Build and moderate Blackpoint's Reddit community, including growing Reddit karma, in coordination with partner marketing

• Manage internal stakeholder requests for social content and coordinate with creative as needed

• Track, analyze, and report on social performance monthly, quarterly, and yearly, turning data into clear recommendations

• Manage social media crisis communications and response strategy as needed

• Stay current on platform trends and emerging formats, applying AI tools for ideation, drafting, and workflow efficiency

• Advise internal teams — and partners where relevant — on social presence and profile-building best practices

What You Bring

• 8–10 years managing social media as your primary role

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write short, clever, on-brand copy under deadline

• Experience building social media programs using best practices and modern tools

• Strong organizational skills — comfortable owning a content calendar, asset library, and multiple concurrent campaigns

• Working knowledge of social SEO fundamentals and copywriting best practices

• Experience with social listening and social advocacy platforms

• Comfort using AI tools for ideation, drafting, and day-to-day content workflows

• Ability to lead cross-functionally, helping other teams understand the value of social

• Genuine curiosity about trending cybersecurity and MSP topics

• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time to industry events and conferences
