Job summary

EMPLOYERS, America's small business insurance specialist, seeks a Territory Field Sales Manager for Southern California. You will build and maintain relationships with insurance agents, becoming the Work Comp expert for your region, and collaborate with underwriting, loss control, and claims to drive sales and profitability.

You'll prospect new agencies, manage producer profiles, and lead education efforts for customers and partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree.
• Five years of insurance and/or sales experience.
• Capable of working with limited direction.
• Technical problem solver with workers' compensation knowledge.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid state driver's license and good driving record.
• Strong organizational skills.
• This role requires sales skills with negotiation influence.
• Ability to interact with all levels and represent the company professionally.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed premium goals in the territory.
• Develop a producer management process focusing on customer needs.
• Monitor external market for new products and processes.
• Develop education/training programs for customers, underwriters, loss control and claims examiners.
• Complete annual producer profiles and action plans.
• Collaborate with internal teams to improve efficiency and communications.
• Conduct agency calls to maximize production and update on products.
• Prospect new appointments and manage agencies that don't meet needs.
• Serve as facilitator, trainer and problem solver with agencies; follow up on eAccess.
• Conduct agency audits and recommend actions.
• Travel opportunities nationally.
• Produce monthly reports on competition and producer trends.
• Coordinate producer functions to facilitate production.
• Work with underwriting to provide new opportunities.
• Coordinate with Loss Control, Underwriting, Claims to meet production plan.
• Make field selection decisions to optimize new business flow.
• Other duties as assigned.
