Job summary

Ampere Computing LLC in Santa Clara, CA is seeking a SoC Design Verification Engineer to verify Ampere SoCs from architecture through tapeout, collaborating with architecture, design and post-silicon teams to deliver robust silicon.

You will develop verification environments, testbenches, assertions and coverage models, drive pre- and post-silicon remediation, and mentor others in this fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Must have 3+ years of experience verifying complex SoCs or processor-based subsystems.
• Knowledge of protocols AXI, AHB, APB, CHI.
• Familiarity with processor-based SoC concepts including memory maps, SMMU, interrupts, reset/clock sequencing, firmware-driven verification, boot and power management flows.
• Proficiency in SystemVerilog, UVM/OVM and C/C++.
• Hands-on experience in developing verification environments, constrained-random verification, coding assertions, and functional/code coverage.
• Experience using AI to automate workflows and accelerate results.
• Strong debugging, communication, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute SoC and subsystem verification strategies and test plans.
• Architect, design and implement verification environments (testbenches, assertions, scoreboards, monitors, coverage models).
• Create tests, debug failures, evaluate design coverage.
• Collaborate with design, architecture, firmware, and post-silicon teams to resolve issues pre- and post-silicon.
• Participate in reviews and contribute to methodology improvements, automation, and reusable collateral.
• Support verification activities in simulation and emulation/FPGA when required.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other engineers.
