Job summary

Ampere, a semiconductor design company, is seeking a SoC Design Verification Engineer to verify Ampere SoCs from architecture through tapeout, ensuring robust silicon and high-performance, energy-efficient AI compute. You will collaborate with architecture, design, firmware and post-silicon teams.

You’ll develop verification strategies, testbenches, assertions, scoreboards, and coverage models; lead constrained-random verification and automation; mentor peers and help advance methodologies

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science & 5 years of related experience or MS degree & 3 years
• 3+ years of experience verifying complex SoCs or processor-based subsystems
• Proficiency in SystemVerilog, UVM/OVM and C/C++
• Hands-on experience developing verification environments, constrained-random verification, coding assertions, and functional/code coverage
• Experience using AI to automate workflows and accelerate results

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute SoC and subsystem verification strategies and test plans meeting sign-off criteria
• Architect and implement verification environments including testbenches, assertions, scoreboards, monitors and coverage models
• Create tests, debug failures and evaluate coverage of design
• Collaborate with design, architecture, firmware and post-silicon teams to resolve issues
• Participate in design and verification reviews and improve methodology and automation
• Support verification activities in simulation and emulation/FPGA as needed
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other engineers
