Job summary

Ampere is seeking a SoC Design Verification Engineer to advance high-performance AI compute silicon. You will verify Ampere SoCs from architecture through tapeout, building testbenches, scoreboards, and coverage models in a fast-paced team.

You’ll collaborate with architecture, design, firmware, and post-silicon groups to ensure robust, production-ready silicon and to accelerate verification in both simulation and FPGA environments. A BS/MS in relevant fields is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience verifying complex SoCs or processor-based subsystems.
• Knowledge of AXI, AHB, APB, CHI interface protocols.
• Familiarity with memory maps, SMMU, interrupts, reset/clock sequencing, firmware-driven verification, boot and power management flows.
• Proficiency in SystemVerilog, UVM/OVM and C/C++.
• Hands-on experience in verification environments, constrained-random verification, coding assertions, and functional/code coverage.
• Experience using agentic/generative AI to automate workflows.
• Strong debugging, communication, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Growth mindset and ability to work in a dynamic environment.
• Nice-to-have: Arm Architecture SoCs or Processor/Media Subsystem Verification; automotive FuSA ISO 26262.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute SoC and subsystem verification strategies and test plans.
• Architect, design and implement verification environments, testbenches, assertions, scoreboards, monitors, and coverage models.
• Create tests, debug failures, evaluate coverage of design.
• Collaborate with design, architecture, firmware, and post-silicon teams to resolve issues.
• Participate in design and verification reviews and improve methodology and reusable collateral.
• Support simulation and emulation/FPGA verification as needed.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other engineers.
