American University is seeking student employees for SOC Technology Services to gain hands-on experience across help desks and technology spaces within the School of Communication. The role offers cross-training across the SubHub, Doyle/Forman Theater, Cage Equipment Desk, and Live Event Support, supporting faculty and students in classroom tech.
This part-time position (15 hours/week) is available only to enrolled American University students.

Summary: SOC Technology Services is seeking motivated undergraduate and graduate student employees to join our team for Fall 2026. Student Support Assistants will be cross-trained to work across various help desks and technology spaces within the School of Communication (SOC). This is a hands-on position ideal for students interested in gaining experience in customer support, media equipment, and classroom technology.
Part-time. 15 hours per week.
$18.40 - $20.00 per hour.
Familiarity with classroom A/V systems, media production gear, or customer service. Communication and problem-solving skills. Willingness to learn and provide support across different environments.
Flexible scheduling available based on student availability and course schedule. Opportunities for continued employment during the academic year.
