American University is seeking a Digital Communication Assistant who is an enrolled student to join the School of Communication. The role supports social media campaigns, content creation, and analytics to promote the SOC to internal and external audiences.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, with strong written and verbal communication, capable of meeting deadlines, and comfortable working in a CMS and basic HTML. This is a 10-hour-per-week, part-time position on campus in Washington, DC.

The Digital Communication Assistant is a member of the American University School of Communication’s Communication and Marketing team. This team is responsible for the promotion of the school to external and internal audiences with the purpose of raising awareness and interest in the school, its students, faculty, degree programs, and school-wide initiatives.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: Part‑time. 10 hours per week. Salary Range: $18.40 per hour.
