American University invites applications for an ACC Student Technician in the Academic Computing Services department. This part-time role (20 hours/week) supports the Anderson Computing Complex and Library, helping keep computers and printers running and assisting faculty with classroom technology.

Summary: The ACC Student Technician supports the daily operations of the Anderson Computing Complex (ACC) and the University Library. This role helps ensure that computers, printers, and other technology resources in the ACC and satellite labs are functioning properly while maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for patrons. The Student Technician also assists faculty with the instructional use of classroom and laboratory technology.
Part-time. 20 hours per week.
$18.40 per hour.
Develop the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with individuals both within and outside the organization. Students will strengthen their customer service, public speaking, and professional writing skills through daily interactions and technical support activities. Gain hands‑on experience using and supporting technology resources while learning to apply digital tools ethically, efficiently, and effectively. Students will develop adaptability and confidence working with emerging technologies. Demonstrate accountability, punctuality, teamwork, and effective time management. Students will strengthen their professional presence, practice ethical decision‑making, and learn to take responsibility for their work while contributing positively to the university community.
