Job summary

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. is seeking a SoC Limits Management Architect on the HW power team.

You will define how our next-generation systems balance high performance against physical, electrical and thermal constraints. You will bridge hardware IP, system software, and product requirements to design a holistic Limits Management architecture and guide product definition through early life cycle involvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field with 4+ years ASIC experience.
• Master's degree with 3+ years ASIC experience; PhD with 2+ years ASIC experience.
• Bachelor’s in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field.
• MS/PhD in Electronics or Computer Engineering with power/perf focus.
• 6+ years ASIC design/verification/integration experience (adjusted for advanced degrees).
• Experience with power management and low-power design methodologies.
• Strong C/C++ for architectural modeling and FW prototyping; Python for data analysis and automation.

Responsibilities

• Define SoC limits management by integrating hardware triggers, firmware policies, and software mitigations.
• Lead cross-functional teams to standardize mitigation features across IP and hardware blocks.
• Drive evolution of Sensing IPs (Voltage/Current/Temperature) and trigger mechanisms.
• Design real-time telemetry requirements and performance-impact profiles for mitigations.
• Drive ROI consensus and oversee Post-Silicon Validation to align with architecture.
• Assist post-silicon power correlation with pre-silicon models and silicon measurements.
