Job summary

NewtonX, Inc. is seeking a Support Engineer to run day-to-day IT support in a SOC 2-conscious environment. You will own the Zendesk IT queue and resolve identity, access and device issues while serving as the onsite desk for desktop and AV in New York.

Most work is remote, including SSO/MFA problems and laptop lifecycle. In New York, you will handle Windows/macOS troubleshooting, conference room AV, and office network issues as the onsite contact.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in IT support or desktop support.
• Troubleshoot Windows 11 and macOS, including MDM-managed devices.
• Identity provider with Okta, MFA and SSO troubleshooting.
• Experience administering Google Workspace and Microsoft 365.
• Practical AV and conference room experience: displays, cameras, microphones, video-conferencing.
• Onsite NY presence and ability to lift and move standard IT equipment.
• Security-conscious and SOC 2-compliant mindset.

Responsibilities

• Triage, prioritize and resolve tickets in Zendesk within SLA.
• Provide onsite hardware and AV support at the New York office.
• Manage identity and access issues (Okta, MFA, SSO).
• Provision access to Google Workspace, MS 365, Slack, and related tools.
• Maintain device inventory and lifecycle via Rippling MDM.
• Write and maintain knowledge-base articles and runbooks.
