Job summary

Bay Area Community Services is seeking a Sobering Center Supervisor for the Regis Recovery Unit in Hayward, CA. The role leads a team, manages administrative and fiscal functions, and ensures high-quality services for community members experiencing acute intoxication.

The ideal candidate has an associate degree (BA preferred), active California certification, and at least three years supervising teams in social services, plus experience with SUD, behavioral health, and housing-related services.

Qualifications

• Active CCAPP, CAADE or CADTP certification required.
• Three years of experience managing teams in social services.
• Two years of experience in SUD, behavioral health, housing or shelter services.
• Experience with Medi-Cal/CalAIM or CES and HMIS preferred.
• Ability to lead diverse, multi-disciplinary teams toward a common goal.

Responsibilities

• Meet clients with needs-driven, culturally relevant services.
• Manage referrals, intakes, discharges; ensure accessibility.
• Supervise staff, hire, train, evaluate; provide supervision to interns.
• Hold teams accountable for high-quality services.
• Pursue CQI opportunities and implement CQI systems.
• Ensure compliance with funders, documentation, grants, reports.
• Communicate using strength-based language in all activities.
• Attend trainings for agency, professional, and personal development.
• Assess program activities and facilities for risks; address promptly.
• Collaborate with program manager, property management, Hedco partners.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
