Job summary

Slalom is seeking a Snowflake Engineer, Consultant, to design, build, and optimize data solutions on Snowflake and cloud platforms. You will develop data pipelines, data models, and analytics-ready data for client teams within an Agile delivery environment.

Bring 5+ years of data engineering experience, strong SQL, data modeling, and Python skills. Experience with AWS/Azure/GCP and orchestration tools, plus Power BI or Tableau, is required. This role offers growth within Slalom's Snowflake CoE.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of data engineering experience with hands-on Snowflake development.
• Strong SQL and data modeling experience.
• Experience building batch and/or streaming data pipelines.
• Proficient in Python or another OO language.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiar with modern data transformation/orchestration tools such as dbt, Airflow, or Dagster.
• Experience enabling analytics with Power BI or Tableau.
• Strong communication and client-facing consulting skills.
• SnowPro Core Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize data solutions using Snowflake and cloud technologies.
• Build and maintain data pipelines, transformations, and scalable data models.
• Collaborate with agile teams to implement client data platform solutions.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions with clients and teammates.
• Develop solutions using SQL, Python, and modern data engineering tools.
• Support data quality, performance tuning, and platform optimization initiatives.
• Contribute to the Snowflake CoE through collaboration and continuous learning.
