Job summary

Slalom invites applications for a Snowflake Engineer within the Snowflake CoE. You will design, develop, and optimize data solutions using Snowflake and cloud technologies, building scalable data models and pipelines while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

You will leverage SQL, Python, and modern tools, ensuring data quality, performance, and governance. Strong communication and client-facing skills are essential to deliver impactful analytics solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of data engineering experience with hands-on Snowflake development.
• Strong SQL and data modeling experience.
• Experience developing batch and/or streaming data pipelines.
• Experience with Python or another object-oriented language.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiarity with dbt, Airflow, or Dagster for data transformation/orchestration.
• Experience supporting analytics and reporting with Power BI or Tableau.
• Strong communication and client-facing consulting skills.
• SnowPro Core Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize data solutions using Snowflake and related cloud tech.
• Build and maintain data pipelines, transformations, and scalable data models.
• Work within Agile delivery teams to implement client data platform solutions.
• Collaborate with clients and teammates to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Develop solutions using SQL, Python, and modern data engineering tools.
• Support data quality, performance tuning, and platform optimization initiatives.
• Contribute to the Snowflake CoE through collaboration and learning.
