Job summary

Second Harvest Heartland is seeking a Director to lead SNAP navigation and Care Center operations in Brooklyn Park. You will direct strategy, oversee a team of managers and frontline staff, and collaborate across IT, Data, and external partners to improve food access for neighbors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 7–10 years of progressive leadership in human services or related fields.
• Deep knowledge of SNAP and public benefit eligibility processes.
• Excellent strategic planning and data-informed decision making.
• Proven experience leading hybrid/remote teams and managing diverse staff.

Responsibilities

• Direct strategy and execution for SNAP navigation and food access programs.
• Oversee a team of managers and staff delivering in-person and virtual support.
• Set performance milestones and monitor SNAP goals across 20+ staff.
• Collaborate with IT, data teams, and external partners on policies and systems.
• Engage with state and county leaders to align SNAP guidance.
