Job summary

NYC Department of Social Services seeks an Administrative Manager M-III to lead Regional SNAP operations across five boroughs. You will oversee center activities, eligibility determinations, and benefit issuance, guiding staff and Center Directors.

Qualifications

• Minimum four years of progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience with independent decision-making.
• 18 months in administrative, managerial, executive or supervisory capacity.
• Supervisory experience supervising staff with clerical/administrative work of moderate difficulty.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of designated SNAP centers across NYC to determine eligibility and issue benefits.
• Provide management oversight to Center Directors for accurate eligibility determinations and inquiries.
• Coordinate with ADC on policies, procedures, and operational implementation for non-cash services.
• Prepare management activity reports and use SNAP Stat/Center Stat for planning and resource allocation.
• Develop policy protocols for application and recertification and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Visit SNAP Centers, meet staff, and ensure approved plans are executed in alignment with agency rules.
