Job summary

Spectra-Tech Manufacturing, Inc. is seeking a dependable assembler to load SMT parts for production, deliver loaded jobs to SMT lines, and unload them as they clear.

The role includes reallocating parts as needed to maintain a smooth line, with an emphasis on accuracy and safety on the production floor. Starting rate is $18.50 per hour and up based on experience, with a $500 hiring/retention bonus and a $100 monthly perfect attendance award.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in assembly preferred but not necessary.
• Work on a manufacturing floor requiring standing and handling materials.

Responsibilities

• Load SMT parts (reels, trays, tubes, etc.) for production runs.
• Deliver loaded jobs to SMT lines and unload when they clear production.
• Reallocate parts as needed to maintain flow and reduce downtime.
• Communicate shortages and hardware needs to SMT Supervisor/Lead.
• Unload parts returned from production lines in a timely manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Summary

Accurate loading of SMT parts on the applicable equipment. Deliver loaded jobs to the SMT lines and unload jobs as they clear production. Reallocation of parts as needed.

Responsibilities/ Principal Duties

• Loading SMT parts (reels, trays, tubes, etc.) in preparation for production runs in the Automated SMT area.
• Component size recognition and use of proper feeder size and pitch.
• Mitigation of lost parts due to handling of reels.
• Communication of parts shortages and hardware needs to the SMT Supervisor/Lead.
• Timely unload of parts returned from the production lines.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Physical/Cognitive Requirements

Work is performed in a manufacturing environment, with frequent contact with others. Requires prolonged standing, sitting, frequent bending, stooping, and stretching. Occasional lifting will be required.

Equipment

Training will be given in the use of applicable hardware and equipment.

Work Environment

Job functions will be performed in and around the SMT lines and pre-loading area in a climate-controlled manufacturing environment.

This position requires a pre-employment background check and drug test.
