Job summary

Electronic Systems Sioux Falls is seeking an experienced SMT Operator to join our production team and build high-quality electronics. This role involves hand‑inserting components, reading prints, and following instructions to meet exact specifications.

The position offers a four‑day workweek with Friday OT and a total pay of $20.25/hour (base $19.25 + $1 shift differential). The Second Shift runs Monday–Thursday 3:15 PM–2:30 AM and Friday 3:15 PM–9:15 PM.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of direct production and assembly experience.
• Experience in electronics assembly or manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to read and understand written and verbal English instructions.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow engineering prints, assembly drawings, and work instructions.
• Hand‑insert electronic components into PCBs.
• Ensure accurate component placement and quality assembly of finished products.
• Perform assembly and soldering tasks for low‑volume and prototype projects.
• Share knowledge and demonstrate proper assembly and soldering techniques to support quality.
• Communicate production progress and job status to team leaders.
• Assist with product testing, packaging, and other production activities.
