Job summary

Electronic Systems Inc. in Sioux Falls, SD is seeking an experienced SMT Operator on 2nd shift to build high-quality electronic products.

You will read engineering prints, hand-insert components onto PCBs, and solder for low-volume and prototype projects while maintaining strict quality standards. Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 recent years of direct production and assembly experience.
• Ability to read and understand written and verbal English instructions.
• Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow engineering prints, assembly drawings, and work instructions.
• Hand-insert electronic components into printed circuit boards (PCBs).
• Ensure accurate component placement and quality assembly of finished products.
• Perform assembly and soldering tasks for low-volume and prototype projects.
• Share knowledge and demonstrate proper assembly and soldering techniques to support team quality and efficiency.
• Communicate production progress and job status to team leaders.
• Assist with product testing, packaging, and other production activities.
• Work collaboratively with teammates to meet quality and production goals.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and occasional overtime as needed.
