Job summary

NetJets Aviation, Inc. in Columbus, OH seeks a Safety Management Systems Specialist to support the SMS program across operations.

You will work with the Manager, Safety Management, and cross-functional teams to ensure the SMS is applied, documented, and continually improved. Ideal candidates have 2–4 years of experience, a Bachelor's in Aviation or Aviation Management, strong analytical and communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and SMS tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aviation or Aviation Management.
• 2–4 years of experience in safety management or aviation operations.
• Knowledge of FAA SMS requirements and 14 CFR Part 5 preferred.
• Ability to analyze safety data and prepare clear summaries.
• Attention to detail and confidentiality in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Support implementation and integration of SMS processes across functions.
• Assist with hazard identification, safety reporting, risk analyses.
• Collect, review, organize, and maintain SMS data and documentation.
• Track risk controls and corrective actions for timely closure.
• Prepare reports and dashboards for management review.
• Support internal evaluations, audits, and continuous improvement.
• Assist with training coordination and safety communications.
• Prepare for regulatory inspections and responses to findings.
• Maintain awareness of FAA Part 5 requirements and SMS best practices.
