Job summary

NetJets is seeking a Safety Assurance Manager to monitor safety performance, evaluate controls, support regulatory compliance, and oversee data-driven assurance activities within the SMS program. You will collaborate with operational leaders, subject matter experts, and staff to identify trends and mitigate risks, driving continuous safety improvements.

The role requires 6–8 years of aviation safety experience, a Bachelor’s in Aviation Management or related field, and strong knowledge of FAA SMS

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Aviation Management or related field.
• 6-8 years of experience in safety or risk management within aviation or related industries.
• Strong knowledge of FAA Safety Management System requirements and Part 5 guidance.

Responsibilities

• Lead Safety Assurance activities within the SMS, including monitoring, measurement, analysis, and reporting.
• Develop and maintain processes and systems to acquire safety data related to operations, products, and services.
• Monitor operational processes to detect changes that may introduce new hazards or affect risk controls.
• Plan and oversee audits, evaluations, and assessments of SMS effectiveness.
• Analyze assurance data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Evaluate effectiveness of safety risk controls and define corrective actions with leadership.
• Provide timely assurance information for leadership reviews and decision-making.
• Coordinate with Safety Management Systems and other departments to ensure SMS integration.
