Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking a Safety Management System leader to drive SMS implementation across the site and align with enterprise standards. The role prioritizes risk identification, analysis, and mitigation through SAT/SRB collaboration and requires extensive experience in manufacturing quality and safety.

The role includes leading audits, training, and the daily application of FLIGHT DECK standards. In-person New Hire Orientation is required on Day 1, with remote eligibility for some activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree accredited college (or equivalent 4 years in manufacturing roles)
• Minimum of 5 years in manufacturing, quality, compliance, or SMS experience
• Strong communication and leadership capabilities

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of the site’s Safety Management System (SMS).
• Facilitate Safety Risk Management through collaboration with SAT/SRB groups.
• Prepare and submit product safety performance reports to required bodies.
• Monitor site compliance with SMS policies and conduct audits.
• Support change management initiatives within product safety risk management.
• Provide SMS and Human Factors training to employees at all levels.
• Drive cross-site collaboration to share lessons learned and improve product safety performance.
• Implement FLIGHT DECK standards and standard work to enable performance.
