Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking a Senior Product Safety professional to lead the SMS program, manage safety risk, investigate incidents, and ensure compliance across the site. The role requires coordinating with enterprise teams, driving continuous improvement, and training staff on safety policies.

Expect collaboration with multiple sites, direct leadership of a small to medium team, and adherence to FLIGHT DECK standards to standardize processes and performance management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree accredited college (or a high school diploma/GED with 4+ years in manufacturing, quality, compliance, or SMS experience + 5+ years overall)
• Minimum of 5 years in manufacturing, quality, compliance, or SMS experience

Responsibilities

• Lead SMS development, implementation, and maintenance aligned with enterprise policies.
• Facilitate SRM through collaboration with SAT/Groups and SRB.
• Prepare and submit product safety performance reports to required bodies.
• Monitor site-level compliance with SMS policies and conduct safety audits.
• Support product safety risk management within change initiatives.
• Provide SMS and Human Factors training to employees across the site.
• Drive product safety communications and cross-site collaboration to share lessons learned.
• Track safety metrics to identify trends and drive proactive SRM improvements.
