Job summary

GE Aerospace in Auburn, ME is seeking a senior leader to drive Safety Management System implementation and maintenance, ensuring policy alignment, accurate documentation, and timely incident reporting to sustain service quality.

You will lead Safety Risk Management, audits, and change initiatives, train staff on SMS and human factors, collaborate with enterprise teams, and coordinate with other GE sites to share lessons and improve product safety performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 5+ years in manufacturing, quality, compliance, or SMS.
• Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing, quality, compliance, or SMS experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead SMS development, implementation, and maintenance across site.
• Facilitate risk identification, analysis, and mitigations with SAT/SRB.
• Prepare and submit product safety performance reports to the SMS team and SRBs.
• Conduct safety audits and inspections to ensure SMS compliance.
• Support product Safety Risk Management within change management initiatives.
• Provide SMS and Human Factors training across all site levels.
