Job summary

Lowes Foods, LLC is seeking a dedicated Pit Master for the Smokehouse department. You will engage guests, demonstrate products, and lead the team to deliver fun, high-quality service while maintaining department standards.

Ideal candidates are energetic, comfortable performing in front of crowds, and capable of multitasking in a dynamic store environment. Applicants must be 18+, with strong team oriented skills and a focus on guest experience.

Qualifications

• Friendly, energetic and outgoing personality.
• Ability to actively engage guests and have fun.
• Willingness to perform in front of large crowds and draw attention to the Smokehouse department.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to supervise people including training and development.

Responsibilities

• Be the Pit Master with dedication to smoked meat.
• Interact with guests and hosts in a fun, engaging manner.
• Ensure smokehouse staff provide friendly service.
• Demonstrate guest service and actively engage guests with samples.
• Operate the department according to merchandising and operational standards.
• Maintain product quality and sanitation in the department.
• Provide guidance and training to smokehouse staff.
• Perform product preparation, receiving, stocking and guest service as needed.
• Perform PA announcements.
