Responsibilities

• Act as Pit Master on the sales floor with dedication to all things smoked meat.
• Interact with guests and hosts in a fun, friendly manner to create an engaging environment.
• Ensure all smokehouse staff provides fun, friendly and engaging service.
• Engage guests through freshly prepared Smokehouse samples and suggestive selling.
• Demonstrate superior guest service at all times.
• Perform activities outlined in the Pit Master character performance description.
• Operate the department according to merchandising and operational standards.
• Ensure product quality meets Lowes Foods standards and maintain sanitation and safety.
• Provide guidance, orientation, training and feedback to Smokehouse staff to achieve satisfactory performance.
• Perform product preparation, receiving, ordering, stocking and guest service as necessary.
• Maintain HACCP required product information log sheets as necessary.
• Perform light meat cutting duties as needed.
• Perform PA announcements.
