Job summary

AAA Auto Club Enterprises in Coppell, TX is seeking a SmartCOMM Engineer to design, build, test, and maintain templates that generate policy, billing, and correspondence documents for insurance and business operations.

The ideal candidate has hands-on SmartCOMM Designer experience (Thunderhead) and a strong background in enterprise document composition, with legacy CCM platform experience a strong asset. You will work in an Agile environment to deliver compliant, multi-channel outputs.

Qualifications

• Hands-on SmartCOMM Designer experience (Thunderhead) or equivalent CCM platform.
• Strong understanding of document composition: templates, content library, data mapping, multi-channel output.
• Experience in insurance/banking or regulated industries producing customer-facing correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and unit-test SmartCOMM templates, content blocks, and business rules.
• Migrate logic from legacy composition platforms as needed.
• Build and validate data mappings between source systems and templates.
• Configure and test multi-channel output (print, PDF, email, portal).
• Collaborate with QA and business analysts to define test cases and resolve defects.
• Troubleshoot production issues related to document generation and data population.
• Document designs, mappings, and test evidence per standards.
• Collaborate with Guidewire composition/orchestration teams for document triggers integration.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and provide effort estimates.
• Support release activities including migration planning and deployment validation.
