Job summary

ADT is seeking a Residential Service Technician in Wisconsin to troubleshoot, configure, and service security and site automation systems. You will install, inspect, repair, and test alarms, video, access control, and networked solutions while communicating clearly with customers and care centers.

The role requires reading electrical plans, handling physical tasks, and maintaining equipment. A high school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license are essential, with full benefits and growth

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills.
• Able to read building electrical and sprinkler plans.
• Physical requirements include standing, stooping, lifting, climbing, crawling.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, configure, reconstruct and program existing security and site automation solutions.
• Service fire and CO detection, networking, hosted video solutions, and access control.
• Follow procedures for wired/wireless tech and connection procedures.
• Test and validate system signals with central monitoring; ensure proper service.
• Coordinate with customers and care centers on system status and inspections.
• Read blueprints and electrical plans to complete equipment repairs.
• Prepare trouble order forms for temporary repairs.
• Coordinate inspections/installations with police, fire departments, or other agencies.
