Job summary

ADT Security Services is seeking a Field Technician to install and support low‑voltage security systems in customer homes and small businesses. You will perform site assessments, test systems, verify connections, and troubleshoot issues to ensure reliable operation. You will educate customers and maintain safety on every job.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, availability for evenings/weekends, and strong problem-solving abilities. Company vehicle is provided in this field role.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record (location may require additional licensing).
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Proficiency with computer hardware, software, and network diagnostics.
• Ability to safely operate a company fleet vehicle.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and customer‑first communication style.
• Self‑directed with solid time management in a fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Install low‑voltage wiring and mount devices according to site layouts and routing plans.
• Perform site assessments, system testing, and verify connections including monitoring center communication.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and flag defective materials or job inaccuracies that affect service quality.
• Educate customers on system features, usage, and basic troubleshooting.
• Maintain a safe, clean workspace and follow all safety protocols.
