Job summary

Fromm Electric Supply is seeking a Smart Components Specialist to drive Rockwell Automation Smart Components growth across the designated territory. The role collaborates with Account Managers, Inside and Outside Sales, and Rockwell personnel to identify opportunities, deliver training, and implement automation solutions throughout the customer lifecycle.

The candidate will deliver product demonstrations, provide expert technical support, and lead market development activities to expand adoption

Rockwell Automation Smart Components include intelligent automation technologies such as drives, motor control, safety, sensing, networking, and monitoring solutions that help customers improve productivity, reliability, and operational performance.

The Smart Components Specialist is responsible for developing and executing business strategies that drive growth, customer adoption, and market expansion for Smart Components solutions. As the technical and commercial subject matter expert, this highly collaborative role partners with customers, Account Managers, Inside Sales, Outside Sales, and Rockwell Automation personnel to identify opportunities, deliver training, support product launches, and implement innovative automation solutions throughout the customer lifecycle.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies to grow industrial automation solutions across the territory.
• Partner with sales teams to identify, develop, and close new business opportunities.
• Serve as the primary technical resource for customers, Inside Sales, and Outside Sales on industrial automation products and applications.
• Provide pre-sale and post-sale technical support to ensure successful customer outcomes.
• Apply technical expertise in Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), Motor Control Centers (MCCs), motor control systems, and related automation technologies.
• Deliver product demonstrations, technical presentations, and hands-on training forcustomers and sales teams.
• Collaboratewith Rockwell Automation representatives and internal specialists to develop complete customer solutions.
• Support customer modernization, lifecycle replacement, and new application opportunities involving automation technologies.
• Lead the introduction of new products and technologies through training, market development, and promotional activities.
• Support promotional campaigns, customer events, trade shows, seminars, and technology showcases.
• Maintain demonstration equipment, sales collateral, and technical resources to support sales efforts.
• Monitor market trends, identify emerging opportunities, and help expand automation solutions into new markets and applications.
• Support inventory planning and product mix recommendations to ensure product availability and customer satisfaction.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to maintain expertise in automation technologies and related solutions.
