As part of our Solution Consultants, you will work with a team of technical counterparts to tailor scalable automation solutions for diverse industries—from food and beverage to oil and gas, automotive, agriculture, and logistics—helping clients stay competitive.

Position Summary

If you are an automation engineer searching for your next opportunity to grow, Rensenhouse Industrial Solutions Network has the opportunity for you. In this role you will help improve local manufacturing through providing consultation, instruction, and training to our clients around the technologies that allow them to maximize their people and processes. As part of our Solution Consultants, you will work locally with a team of technical counterparts to leverage your unique expertise to our clients. From food and beverage, oil and gas, automotive, ag, logistics, etc. we'll challenge you to grow in your knowledge of our clients and their industries in order to advise them on the right technologies that will allow them to compete within their industry.

What you'll do

• This position will be responsible for driving the APR’s business strategy to accelerate growth in the Smart Components businesses. These businesses include industrial components, motor control, sensors, safety, condition monitoring, and machine-level controls/architectures (controllers, distributed I/O and networks)
• This position will be the technical liaison between Rockwell Automation and the distributor, provide technical, marketing, and commercial leadership for sales growth, be responsible to supporting the commercial plan for the Smart Components businesses and take a lead role in developing a competency plan to ensure that support functions (inside/outside sales) are adequately prepared to maximize share gain for the Smart Components businesses in their APR(s)
• Shares distributed I/O responsibility and coordinates customer activities with Automation Specialist to ensure the right resource is engaged for given opportunities

Essential Job Functions

• Demonstrates the ability to describe and apply the fundamentals of industrial components, motor control, sensors, safety, condition monitoring, and machine-level controls / architectures (controllers, distributed I/O and networks) in manufacturing environments
• Good technical writing & presentation skills with ability to present RA’s value proposition to mid / large size groups of customers (external and internal) both commercially and technically
• Act as the point person for the business strategy at the supported Area of Primary Responsibilitylevel(s)
• Implement and track performance of marketing, promotion programs, and product launches for Rockwell Automation
• Understand trends with developing standards surrounding safety/certification/regulations and assist customers in applying them
• Varying day-to-day tasks including sales or customer requests, planned meetings, event preparation and more
• Manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously, ensuring stakeholder expectations are managed appropriately
• Be accountable for creation and execution of plans to exceed growth targets
• Travel to customers within assigned geographic area
• Act as trusted partner to the business units to provide voice of the customer and constructive feedback

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technology diploma in related technical field, or equivalent experience is required.
• Demonstratable knowledge & understanding of industrial control and automation industry & terminology.
• Strong interpersonal communications, analytical and problem solving, organizational and written/verbal communication skills required.
• Ability to influence and guide team members when required.
