Job summary

The Los Angeles Community College District seeks an Assistant Technology Services Specialist to provide entry to moderate-level technical support, including setup and maintenance of computers, printers, and classroom tech.

You will guide users, troubleshoot hardware and software, assist with smart classroom equipment, and help maintain assets and documentation for efficient service across the campus.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in computer information systems, computer science, or related field.
• Two years of recent, full-time, paid technical computer experience preferred.
• Experience with heterogeneous (Mac/Windows) environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot computers, printers, and related devices.
• Maintain local software applications and ensure license compliance.
• Respond to user needs, follow up to assure stability of end-user systems.
• Assist in setup of smart classroom technology and equipment.
• Coordinate with vendors and staff to resolve tech issues.
• Create and maintain knowledge base and training materials.
• Track inventory and manage access to servers and data closets.
