Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled as an undergraduate at a 4-year U.S. college or university.
• Successful completion of Siemens Smart Infrastructure Buildings Internship Program – Summer 2026.
• Pursuing an Engineering-related degree such as Electrical/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, Construction Management, CAD or related field.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week for the 10-week program (May - July or June - August).
• There is no relocation or housing stipend for this program; located within 50 miles of office with vehicle access.
• This program does not support students on a Visa such as F1, J1, M1 and H1B nor OPT/CPT.

Responsibilities

• Understand project requirements and design building automation solutions for higher education and healthcare facilities.
• Prepare design documents, including mechanical layouts, electrical drawings, BOMs, sequences of operations, and schedules.
• Design building automation network architecture to support operator workstations.
• Analyze plans, construction contracts, and codes to determine project requirements and risks.
• Prepare engineering re-estimates and coordinate with sales/management to confirm scope.
