Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Systems Design professional to design, configure, and operate complete building control systems, including fire, security, and other subsystems. You will work with field teams to ensure quality, timely delivery, and proper operation, while developing software and coordinating submittals.

The role requires knowledge of control theory, building automation, and integration of low‑voltage subsystems, plus willingness to travel regularly to project sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering and minimum 3 years' experience.
• Knowledge of construction or HVAC industry.
• Experience with building control systems and related subsystems.
• Experience with JCI software programming and low‑voltage integrations.
• Willingness to travel regularly.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure and operate building control systems (fire, security, low voltage subsystems).
• Ensure quality, timeliness and efficiency of designs for field teams.
• Prepare submittals and communicate design/operation to customers and subcontractors.
• Develop software for system operation and test for project requirements.
• Coordinate drawings, schedules and material orders.
• Provide field training and support to owners/operators.
