Job summary

Johnson Controls in Houston seeks a Building Controls Engineer to design, configure, and operate integrated building control systems including fire, security, lighting, data networks, and nurse call. You will develop software, submittals, and coordination drawings for project teams.

You will collaborate with field installation teams, validate system functionality, and travel as required. A bachelor's in engineering and 3+ years in HVAC/building automation are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering with minimum 3 years in construction/HVAC.
• Experience with building control systems and protocols (LON, BACnet).
• Ability to travel regularly and coordinate with field teams.

Responsibilities

• Designs, configures, and operates complete building control systems (fire, security, lighting, nurse call, data networks).
• Develops drawings, BOMs, network layouts, and electrical schematics.
• Develops and tests software for system operation and coordinates submittals with customers and subcontractors.
