Job summary

Johnson Controls seeks a Controls Project Engineer to design, configure, and implement building control systems for HVAC, fire, security, and related low‑voltage applications. You will work with project, engineering, sales, and field teams to deliver solutions that meet requirements.

The role involves designing and configuring building automation systems using AutoCAD, BIM, and other tools, from design through commissioning and turnover, under supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, BIM, or similar design software.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing and configuring building automation and control systems per project specs.
• Develop control drawings, flow diagrams, sequences of operations, BOMs, wiring layouts, and schematics.
• Support development, testing, and modification of software for system operation.
• Prepare drawings, equipment schedules, and documentation for submittals and installations.
• Coordinate ordering and tracking of materials for projects.
• Support field teams during loading, commissioning, and validation.
