Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an engineer to design, configure, and operate complete building control systems including fire, security, and other low voltage subsystems to meet project requirements.

You will work with field teams to ensure quality, timeliness, and efficient designs; develop software, create submittals, and coordinate drawings, schedules, and vendor orders. Travel is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering and at least 3 years of experience.
• Knowledge of construction or HVAC industry.
• Knowledge of control theory and building automation systems.
• Experience with low-voltage building sub-systems using protocols (LON, BACnet).
• Ability to travel regularly.

Responsibilities

• Designs and configures building control systems as defined by contract documents.
• Develops software programs and conducts commissioning for system operation.
• Prepares submittals and communicates design details to customers and field teams.
• Coordinates drawings, equipment schedules, and material orders for submittals and installation.
• Provides field guidance and supports site readiness and training.
