Job summary

United Ag & Turf is seeking a capable Small Engine Tech to perform repairs and maintenance on turf equipment, ATV/UTV, and related small engines. The role includes following guidance from the Service Manager and maintaining clean, safe work areas.

Key duties involve operating vehicles and tools, documenting time and materials, and participating in ongoing service training to develop technical skills for our dealer network across Texas and nearby regions.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to use Service Advisor and basic computer functions.
• Ability to assemble machinery components and to follow manufacturer’s pre-delivery instructions.

Responsibilities

• Performs repairs and maintenance on small engine equipment.

Purpose

As small engine tech you will be required to perform repairs and maintenance on turf equipment, ATV/UTV’s and other small engine equipment. Will require some direction or guidance from the Service Manager.

Essential Functions

The following are essential functions of this position:

Physical Demands

This position requires minimal physical demands that are necessary to perform the essential functions of the position, including:

Talking and hearing. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, balancing and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 lbs.

Requirements

Required Education, Skills and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience required.
• Valid Driver’s license required.
• Ability to use Service Advisor and basic computer functions.
• Ability to assemble machinery components and to follow manufacturer’s pre-delivery instructions.
• Ability to operate vehicles, tools and equipment used in machinery pre-delivery and set-up process.
• Fundamental level of knowledge of engines, hydraulics, power-trans, air-conditioning and electrical systems as they apply to machines marketed by United Ag & Turf.

Preferred Education Or Experience

• Fork lift certification.
