Job summary

United Ag & Turf is seeking a skilled Small Engine Technician to perform repairs and maintenance on turf equipment, ATVs/UTVs, and similar machinery. The role reports to the Service Manager and requires basic computer use and service software familiarity.

On-site position with emphasis on safety and accurate time/material tracking. The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license, and the ability to read and follow manufacturer pre-delivery

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience required.
• Valid Driver’s license required.
• Ability to use Service Advisor and basic computer functions.
• Ability to assemble machinery components and to follow manufacturer’s pre-delivery instructions.
• Ability to operate vehicles, tools and equipment used in machinery pre-delivery and set-up process.
• Fundamental knowledge of engines, hydraulics, power-trans, A/C and electrical systems as they apply to machines sold by United Ag & Turf.

Purpose

As small engine tech you will be required to perform repairs and maintenance on turf equipment, ATV/UTV’s and other small engine equipment. Will require some direction or guidance from the Service Manager.

Essential Functions

Physical Demands

This position requires minimal physical demands that are necessary to perform the essential functions of the position, including:

Talking and hearing. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, balancing and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 lbs.
