Job summary

United Ag & Turf is a John Deere Dealership seeking a skilled Small Engine Technician at our Gainesville, TX location. You will perform repairs and maintenance on turf equipment, ATV/UTVs, and other small engines under guidance from the Service Manager.

Essential functions include handling repairs, operating required tools, maintaining a clean work area, and following safety rules. Candidates should have a HS diploma, valid license, and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience required.
• Valid Driver’s license required.
• Ability to use Service Advisor and basic computer functions.
• Ability to assemble machinery components and to follow manufacturer’s pre-delivery instructions.
• Ability to operate vehicles, tools and equipment used in machinery pre-delivery and set-up process.
• Fundamental knowledge of engines, hydraulics, power-trans, air-conditioning and electrical systems as they apply to machines marketed by United Ag & Turf.

Responsibilities

• Performs repairs and maintenance on small engine equipment.
• Operates and maintains vehicles, tools and equipment required for the position.
• Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations required in conjunction with job assignments.
• Complete all reports and forms required in conjunction with job assignments.
• Accounts for all time and material used in performing assigned duties.
• May participate in service training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge.
