Job summary

United Ag & Turf is seeking a Small Engine Technician to repair and maintain turf equipment, ATVs/UTVs, and other small engine machinery at our Durant location. This role reports to the Service Manager and requires basic computer skills and the ability to follow factory guidelines.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, and a willingness to participate in ongoing service training. We offer competitive pay, benefits, and tool allowances.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience required.
• Valid Driver’s license required.
• Ability to use Service Advisor and basic computer functions.
• Ability to assemble machinery components and to follow manufacturer’s pre-delivery instructions.
• Ability to operate vehicles, tools and equipment used in machinery pre-delivery and set-up process.
• Fundamental knowledge of engines, hydraulics, power-trans, air-conditioning and electrical systems as they apply to machines marketed by United Ag & Turf.

Purpose

As small engine tech you will be required to perform repairs and maintenance on turf equipment, ATV/UTV’s and other small engine equipment. Will require some direction or guidance from the Service Manager.

Physical Demands

This position requires minimal physical demands that are necessary to perform the essential functions of the position, including: Talking and hearing. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, balancing and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 lbs.
