Job summary

United Ag & Turf in Texas seeks a skilled Small Engine Technician to perform repairs and routine maintenance on turf equipment, ATVs, UTVs, and related machinery. You will work under the supervision of the Service Manager and support multiple locations.

Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license, and basic computer skills to use Service Advisor. A strong knowledge of engines, hydraulics, power transmission, and electrical systems is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Driver’s license required.
• Familiarity with Service Advisor and basic computer functions.
• Ability to assemble machinery components and follow pre-delivery instructions.
• Operate vehicles, tools and equipment used in machinery pre-delivery and setup.
• Basic knowledge of engines, hydraulics, power-trans, A/C and electrical systems.

Purpose

As small engine tech you will be required to perform repairs and maintenance on turf equipment, ATV/UTV’s and other small engine equipment. Will require some direction or guidance from the Service Manager.

Essential Functions

Physical Demands

Talking and hearing. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, balancing and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 lbs.

Requirements

Required Education, Skills and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience required.
• Valid Driver’s license required.
• Ability to use Service Advisor and basic computer functions.
• Ability to assemble machinery components and to follow manufacturer’s pre-delivery instructions.
• Ability to operate vehicles, tools and equipment used in machinery pre-delivery and set-up process.
• Fundamental level of knowledge of engines, hydraulics, power-trans, air-conditioning and electrical systems as they apply to machines marketed by United Ag & Turf.

Preferred Education or Experience

• Fork lift certification.
